A personalized approach to recovery, enhancing mobility and strength through
targeted therapeutic movement.

Pilates for Rehabilitation

Pilates for Rehabilitation is a specialized approach to the Pilates method designed to aid recovery from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. We focus on controlled movements, precise alignment, and mindful breathing to improve strength, flexibility, and stability while reducing pain.

Common conditions we treat with Pilates:

At PhysioFit, Pilates isn’t just a workout — it’s a therapeutic tool we adapt to help people move with strength, confidence, and control. Many of our clients come to us with specific health concerns like back pain, osteoporosis, menopause-related changes, or postpartum recovery needs.

We tailor each Pilates session to address your body’s unique challenges — helping you safely build strength, restore function, and prevent future issues. Below are some of the most common conditions we treat using Pilates.

🦴 Osteoporosis
Collapse

Pilates can play a powerful role in maintaining bone health. By combining safe, controlled loading with balance training, Pilates helps improve posture, strength, and coordination — all key for reducing fall and fracture risk.

At PhysioFit, we focus on:

  • Safe spinal alignment and posture correction

  • Gentle, weight-bearing movements that stimulate bone without strain

  • Balance and core stability exercises to improve confidence and mobility

We avoid excessive flexion, twisting, or high-compression movements in vulnerable spines, and modify each exercise to your bone density and comfort level.

Many clients notice improved balance and strength after just a few weeks of consistent practice.

What Our Clients Say

H.S.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I was totally skeptical coming in. Even a little resistant. But I had the best session ever. I keep waiting for “the catch”. Like, how could this have possibly worked within an hour– something that I’ve been carrying around, in and out of therapy, for years? But now, two months later, I still feel free of my burden. Before I left, I took a bunch of Divya’s business cards. I have a few friends who could really use her help!”

"I spent two months at PhysioFit, three days a week, after a knee replacement. Allison was fantastic. She nursed my knee back to health. She was compassionate and knowledgeable. She not only made the exercises easy to remember but also sent them to my computer which was most helpful. From the time you enter the front door until you are finished with your one-hour session, the employees make you feel at home and they all remember my name after the first visit. I was most impressed that each session was performed in a private room. We did spend some time in their large gym room with lots of equipment. The one-on-one in a private room was so much better than other physical therapy locations I have attended where there is a mass of humanity in one large room with loud music playing. I plan on returning to PhysioFit for monthly tune-ups and to keep current on their recommendations for future exercises to keep my knee in top" shape.
